  • By subway: The MBTA offers Blue Line Subway services and Silver Line Bus Rapid Transit service to and from the Airport. Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) Silver Line route SL1 (Logan Airport - South Station via Waterfront) bus rapid transit service, available at South Station, is your best direct connection to and from the Airport. Take the MBTA Blue Line to and from the newly renovated Airport Station and board free Massport shuttle buses to all airline terminals.

Scheduled times for departing Logan are shown for Terminal A. Departure from other terminals is a few minutes later. Travel time is approximately 30-45 minutes.
  • By Water Shuttle and taxi: Getting to and from Logan Airport by water shuttle or water taxi is convenient and enjoyable. Year-round scheduled and on-call vessels serving the Logan dock provide direct connections to downtown Boston and other popular waterfront destinations in Boston Inner Harbor and Quincy and Hull on the South Shore. Water taxis function like land taxis, passengers can board a water taxi waiting at the dock or call ahead for a reservation.

Car Rental

Several rental car companies are available at Logan Airport. In Terminals C and E, all of the car companies have direct line telephone boards connecting to a local rental car facility. Each company has a complimentary shuttle bus that will stop curbside on the airport's arrival level to take passengers to the nearby rental office. Be aware that there always seems to be construction going on around Logan Airport, so you will need to be careful and watch the signs directing you downtown.
