Fiumicino International Airport
Rome's Leonardo da Vinci (Fiumicino) Airport is located 26km (16 miles) south-west of the city. This main airport is modern, large, rather efficient, and well connected to the center of the city by public transportation, but consider not arriving late in the evening in Rome to have the most transportation options to downtown.
Facilities Fiumicino Airport
Italy is well known for the quality of its shops and this also extends to the airport, where passengers will find over 160 stores. You can find duty-free and other shops, including fashion, jewellery, perfumes and traditional Italian products. Other facilities include banks, bureaux de change, ATMs and post offices. Public transport Fiumicino Airport
There is a direct non-stop train service from Fuimicino Airport Station to Roma Termini station. Trains run every half hour during the day, from 06:37 to 23:37. The direct train between Fiumicino and Termini costs € 9,50 and takes approximately 30 minutes. It leaves from and arrives at track 22 at Termini (the main train station).
Ciampino Airport
The Ciampino airport has three passenger terminals (departures, arrivals and general aviation) and one cargo terminal. The airport is located 15km (9 miles) to the southeast of the centre of Rome.
